- Some people wanted Erwin to be saved, because he was the commander and formulated a lot of the plans for the troops. He had future ideas, like to get to the basement to find info ab the titans, and many thought he would guide the troops well. Some thought Armin was not as wise and was too weak.
- Others wanted Armin to be saved, because he is a very likeable character. He is smart too, and made plans as well. People believed that Armin would be able to come up with future plans that could save humanity. Erwin also wanted Armin to be saved.
