Found poem- Twilight Eyes

Found poem- Twilight Eyes is a poem by Hopewell Valley Central High School senior Sari Pehnke & was published in Panorama, the literary arts magazine

Twilight eyes

I wish

I would a loved more

“sing a little somethin for me.”

he sang

louder

and

Louder

as though sheer volume would wake her

It woke only the birds.

he knew why he loved her so–

without ever leaving the ground,

she could fly

You want my life?

Here

he leaped

now he knew,

If you surrendered to the air,

you could ride it.
